If it is a project, tell us what the system has to do and what limits it — budget, timeline, environment, regulatory context. A constraint stated early is worth more than a specification written late, and rough is fine. If the shape of the problem is clear we can usually say quickly whether it is something we should take on.
If it is not, that is equally welcome. Research collaborations, joint work with a lab or another shop, someone building in an adjacent area, or a question about something on this site — all fair game.
